Providing breast milk not only provides the best nutrition for babies but it will increase the bond between mother and child than formula-feeding mothers to their children. Research has shown that mothers who breast feed have the strongest brain response when hearing her baby cry.

It has been proved by research that was held by a team from the Child Study Center, Yale University, USA. They divided the mothers into two groups. The first group of 9 persons with mothers who breastfeed their babies, while the second group of mothers give their babies formula milk. Then the mothers are doing an MRI test one month after the baby is born.

The mother had been on a MRI test, they will be played two baby crying sound recordings, namely their own baby crying and crying baby to others. All the mothers’ brains become more active when they heard the baby crying. However, the strongest brain response seen in mothers who breastfeed their own babies.

There are many factors that influence the high sensitivity of the brain mothers who breastfeed. Not because they give breast milk to their babies but also because of the hormones and other personal experiences.

However mothers who decide to give breast milk reflects the tendency to be more empathetic to their babies. A strong determination to provide breast milk as a baby in the womb will also enhance the bonding between mother and child.
