Caffeine contained in coffee as long as it is often said to be the cause of raised blood pressure. Although not yet received a final conclusion, but new research suggests drinking coffee is not proven to increase blood pressure.

Reports of recent studies published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition were made after collecting data from six studies involving 170,000 people. In each study, conducted surveys to determine the amount of coffee drunk each day then the health history of the respondents followed up to 33 years.

About one in five participants had hypertension. However, there was no difference in risk between those who drank five cups of coffee per day with people who only drink a little. Even so drinking coffee does not mean free of risk at all.

Research has found the risk of hypertension among those who drank 3 cups of coffee per day with a drink less than this amount differs only slightly. According Dr.Lawrence Krakoff, researchers in the field of hypertension from the Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, United States, if people drink 12 cups of coffee every day and could not sleep, then it is a cause of hypertension.

The relationship between coffee with hypertension itself is very complicated and probably not the same effect on everyone. Dr.Liwei According to Chen, one of the researchers say genetic differences may influence the effect of caffeine is absorbed. For most people there is no effect of coffee drinking a lot.
