Distance Pregnancy Can Trigger Autism Risk

Distance pregnancies too close to a risk for women. A recent study says that women who become pregnant again within a year after giving birth can be risky cause autism in their child’s future potential.

Pregnancy in a row to make a mother could exhaust. The scientists from New York, USA said that, a woman needs time to recover from pregnancy. In addition, pregnancies that occur in the short term will cause the children who are born susceptible to malnutrition.

Conclusions are based on research carried out to 600,000 families in California. The scientists noted cases of autism among the 663, 000 second child born in California in 1992 until 2002. After getting complete data, the scientists examined the child intervals of the first and second pregnancy, and parents, regardless of age, background, ethnicity, maternal education, and whether parents have health insurance. The result of these studies is that children who were born at intervals shorter pregnancies have an increased risk of autism.

A child who was conceived on the same birth year with his older brother had 3.4 times higher likelihood of autism affected, while the child was conceived 12 to 13 months after the birth of her sister has a likelihood 1.9 times higher risk of autism bear. Seeing the results of these studies, the National Autistic Society, UK explained that for the parents must remain vigilant, but need not be too concerned.

A spokesman for the National Autistic Society said although the research was useful, but previously there have been thousands of cases both the first child and subsequent children are born with an interval of 12 months and then have a diagnosis of autism.
