Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma has led Actor Andy Whitfield Killed

Spartacus actor was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in March 2010 ago. And he began to treat cancer in New Zealand that delayed production of the second season Spartacus’. In about June 2010, Andy Whitfield able to complete treatment and were even given a clean bill of health. However, it was a battle with cancer has not been completed. He had cancer back in September 2010. Since then, Andy Whitfield struggled for a few months of pain and suffering.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancer of lymphoid tissue. This cancer also affects the lymph nodes, spleen, and immune system as a whole. Most of the time, the cause of this cancer cannot be known. However, people with low immune systems have a higher chance of developing this disease.
This disease can be classified into three classes: low, medium, and high. The most common type is low-grade progress slowly and kills healthy cells. This cancer affects men more frequently than in women.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma manifested by signs and symptoms are different. The most common symptoms include fever, chills, itching, night sweats, weight loss, and swollen neck, groin, armpit or other lymph nodes. Sometimes patients with this disease will experience coughing and shortness of breath. Some even may experience swelling and abdominal pain. Basically, if the cancer is concentrated at one particular location, radiation therapy is used. However, chemotherapy is still the main treatment.
Low grade Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma type will not be treated with chemotherapy alone. But for people with this type of cancer progresses slowly and may take several years before cancer worsened. In contrast, chemotherapy can cure many kinds of high-grade Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if the body does not react or respond to positive treatment, death can occur rapidly.
