Vaginal Discharge, Women really need to know about this one
Vaginal Discharge is a problem that often or has experienced most of even all women. To note is that there are 2: physiological vaginal discharge and pathological vaginal discharge.
Physiological vaginal discharge (no treatment) can occur from infancy to age 10 years, as well as in adolescents before the menstrual period because of the hormone estrogen, also occurs in infertile women who were aroused to remove the mucus from the cervical glands to help the sperm into the uterus. In the normal condition of the vaginal mucus contains fewer leucocytes and epithelial cells.
Pathological vaginal discharge, there are many contain leucocytes. Causes most are due to an infection. Type of bacteria that commonly cause is Trichomonas vaginalis vaginal discharge, Kandida Albikan, haemophilus vaginalis.
Circumstances that often lead to infection is easily arise that are too tight pants and underwear made of materials that cannot absorb sweat as nylon or polyester materials from the area, causing the penis to be moist and acidity levels change.
Vaginal discharge can also be caused by transmission from an infected partner by sexual contact or due to a foreign object such as an intrauterine device.
How do I find out the cause of vaginal discharge that is by physical examination, based on experience examining physician, complaints and symptoms that the patient felt able to find out possible causes of vaginal discharge and can be treated, while to figure out the exact cause of vaginal discharge that is by laboratory examination is to take a mucus / fluid discharge and breed (do a culture and resistance tests) where to find the cause and what is the appropriate medication to treat it, but these tests take time.
Menopause patients also often complain of vaginal discharge in postmenopausal women because of vaginal epithelial cells is low and therefore susceptible to infection. Vaginal discharge can also occur in women who suffer from cervical cancer occur in which the discharge is smelly because they contain dead tissue and cancer.
Tips to prevent vaginal discharge:
Avoid using the clothes that are too tight, use tampons, use soap around the genitals and the use of underwear made from nylon or polyester (use in cotton). Wash the genital area from front to back rather than vice versa in order not to infect the bacteria from the anus to the vagina.
