The findings are based on research results compiled by researchers from Marshall University, which was reported in the journal Nutrition and Cancer. In his research, the researchers conducted tests on rats to see the benefits of walnut consumption. The results showed that the risk of breast cancer dropped significantly in the mice that ate walnuts every day with a moderate amount.

The study, led by Elaine Hardman, of Marshall Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, also compared the effects of the consumption of certain foods with a diet containing walnuts. Total consumption of walnuts in the testing is equivalent to about 2 ounces per day for humans.

Elaine Hardman also said that during the study period, the group that ate walnuts had a half till the second phase of decline in breast cancer compared to those who diet without walnuts. In fact, the number and size of breast cancer tumors is significantly much smaller in those who ate the canary. He also said that food is an important drug in our diet. What we put into the body will make a big difference. Food determines how the body works and reacts to illness and health.

Elaine Hardman added that other studies have clearly shown that some compounds contained in walnuts can reduce the risk of cancer or slow the growth of breast cancer.

From that results of these studies have shown that increased consumption of walnuts can be part of a healthy diet and will reduce the risk of breast cancer in the future.
