What is the Ideal Body Weight for Pregnant Women

A woman’s weight will increase drastically when she is pregnant and this is considered to be very fair. But please note that does not mean at the time of pregnancy a woman is pregnant does not maintain her weight. If the mother is too fat weight would be dangerous to the fetus. Weight gain of pregnant women are not always caused by the fat but rather is caused by fluids and tissues are developing.

Pregnant women are strongly advised in order to regulate body weight in order to get  ideal condition and continues to maintain a diet with adequate and balanced nutrition. Body weight of pregnant women in the first three months of relatively little, no increase or decrease this is due to morning sickness. Pregnant women’s weight will increase rapidly in the fourth or second and third trimesters and at that time are needed extra monitoring of body weight of pregnant women. An expectant mother has the ideal weight of about 45-64 Kg. And at the time of weight gain during pregnancy occurs around 12-15 Kg.

In the fourth or second trimester, the fetus will grow exponentially, the growth of a fetus less than about 10 grams per day. In the event of excess weight in pregnant women, the mothers will have an increased risk of hypertension or diabetes. While the risk to the fetus is the placenta that functions for the supply of oxygen will occur due to narrowing of fat, of course, this will inhibit the growth of infants. If the oxygen supply will be constrained so can damage the fetal brain cells, causing the baby’s intelligence will be lessened. Another danger occurs when the placenta is going to cause constriction of lung disorders or the baby will be born with obesity. So instead of a pregnant woman who was overweight are strongly advised to do a little exercise.

There should also note that not only overweight pregnant women should be aware by any entity but the lack of caution must be taken during pregnancy. This is because when the body weight of pregnant mothers will eat may be harmful to mother and fetus. Pregnant women who are underweight babies are at risk of stunted growth and the threat of premature labor and the risk of birth defects. In pregnant women who lack the weight is strongly recommended to raise as much as 0.5 kg body weight every week.

Another thing that also needs to be taken by pregnant women is to always eat a nutritious diet, stopping smoking, drinking alcohol and taking drugs that are not necessary and always with enough rest.
