What is whooping cough and how the whooping coughs symptoms?

Whooping cough is a disease caused by respiratory tract infection that will cause coughing constantly. Respiratory tract infection is caused by bacteria called Bordetella pertussis. Pertussis is another name for whooping cough.

Whooping cough is very easy to be transmitted to others. This cough can be transmitted to others through droplets from coughing or sneezing. If whooping cough patients not treated immediately, the patient will be able to spread it to others until three weeks after the cough occurred. This disease will affect a very serious event in infants younger than 6 months. Babies who develop the disease in general should be treated in hospital. And in general in children and adults who have been exposed to whooping cough will not look

What are the whooping cough symptoms?

Whooping cough symptoms usually have symptoms similar to Salesma i.e. clogged nose, dry cough which will last for about one week. If the cough has continued in general will happen coughing attacks, followed by a big breath and sometimes the patient will experience vomiting after coughing. In the children will look healthy if not a cough. There are also cases of more severe if the babies and children have whooping cough which causes difficulty in breathing after coughing.

How to prevent whooping cough?
Whooping cough would be very dangerous for babies. Babies should be kept away from the affected person coughs to prevent the baby contracting the disease whooping cough. Whereas in children needs to be done long-term or provision of protection against whooping cough for life. Usually in children should be immunized from the doctor to prevent this disease. In adults need to know the symptoms that arise if you are worried consult your doctor immediately.
